# 5. New Normal Era and Travel Industry

In the era of post-COVID or the new normal, it is crucial to examine the position and role that the travel industry should take. The trend of travel in the new normal era is shifting towards small-scale private travel or self-guided travel through mobile apps, with a clear tendency towards hobbies and personal preferences. To adapt to these changes, the travel industry is actively responding to digital transformation by shifting towards a guide-centered model that caters to small travel groups or providing the basis for travelers to form their own travel schedules based on large-scale travel content.&#x20;

To address these changes in the market and trends, we propose a new travel business model that involves the redesign of the concept of travel with travelers and guides at the center. This model involves the participation of all parties in the composition of travel content and its subsequent commercialization through the integration of blockchain token reward systems to contribute to data structuring and platform development, while also incentivizing participants who contribute to the growth of the travel industry.

Traditionally, package tours have held a relatively high share in the travel industry, playing an important role in popularizing overseas travel. However, as overseas travel has become commonplace and travel consumers have accumulated experience, along with the availability of various mobile apps for information and assistance, there is a shift in the direction of travel consumption towards small-scale travel products with unique content. The accelerated digital transformation has led to the influx of competitors from various industries into the travel industry, and the revenue structure of travel agencies is undergoing significant changes. As a result, there is a greater need for travel agencies to attract customers through the composition of unique and compelling content in their products, shifting away from traditional standardized travel products to develop innovative products that combine unique stories and content to appeal to consumers.

In summary, the travel industry must adapt to the changing demands of consumers in the new normal era. The travel industry must move towards small-scale and unique travel experiences, respond to digital transformation, and develop innovative products with unique content to attract consumers. The proposed travel business model with blockchain token reward systems offers a novel approach to address the changing trends and market conditions, providing a foundation for the future development of the travel industry.
